Unmatched Gloss and Protection for Your Paint
At All-Star Mobile Auto Detailing, we provide your car with long-term protection that results in high-definition shine. We’re Boston’s ceramic coating experts that ensure proper preparation and application so you get the best results for New England weather.
Beyond the incredible gloss and "wet look" it provides, a ceramic coating transforms your paint into a hydrophobic surface, meaning water and contaminants simply slide off. This makes your routine maintenance significantly faster and easier. Depending on the condition of your vehicle, some form of paint correction or light polishing is needed to get the most out of the coating.

Our Meticulous Ceramic Coating Workflow
The secret to a long-lasting coating is the prep work you do. And that’s how we’re able to produce such high-level results. We make sure the fundamental steps are done to the fullest extent. It’s the same coating process we do on your Tesla. Here’s what the process looks like:
Clean Wheels, Tires and Wash: We begin with a rigorous cleaning of the wheels, tires, and wheel wells, followed by a meticulous hand wash of the entire body.
Mechanical Decontamination: We use a clay bar treatment to pull embedded grit out of the pores of the paint, leaving the surface feeling as smooth as a sheet of glass.
Chemical Decontamination: We apply a dedicated iron remover to dissolve metallic fallout and brake dust that a wash alone cannot touch. The goal is a surgically clean surface.
Paint Correction and Refinement: Depending on your goals and the car’s condition, we perform machine polishing to remove swirls and scratches. We offer different tiers of correction to fit your specific needs, from a light gloss enhancement to a multi-stage restoration.
The Final Prep Wipe: Once the paint is prepped, we use a specialized solvent to strip away any remaining polishing oils. This ensures the ceramic coating can bond directly to the paint for maximum durability.
Proper Application: We carefully apply the coating section by section. This is a technical process that requires a steady hand and a keen eye to avoid "high spots" or uneven coverage.
Final Inspection and Finishing Touches: We wrap up by dressing the tires, cleaning the windows, and performing a final "walk-around" to ensure the vehicle meets our elite craftsmanship standards.
Making Maintaining Your Car Easier with Ceramic Protection
Keeping your daily driver looking its best is an uphill battle against Boston road salt and grime, but a premium ceramic coating helps with that. The coating acts as a sacrificial barrier, making it difficult for dirt, bird droppings, and environmental fallout to bond to the surface. This translates to a much easier washing and drying experience every single time.
When debris does find its way onto the car, it can be rinsed away with a pressure washer. Unlike a traditional wax or a sealant that might last a few months at best, a quality ceramic coating creates a chemical bond with your factory clear coat. This semi-permanent shield can last for years.
We offer specialized coating formulas for nearly every surface of your vehicle. Whether you want to protect your wheels from brake dust, your glass for better rainy-day visibility, or your interior leather and fabric from spills, we have a solution. We even integrate ceramic protection into our he

“I used All-Star Mobile Auto Detailing on 3/14/25. I had my 22 Challenger ceramic coated along with the wheel package. They did an AMAZING job. I reached out to them via email on a weekend not expecting a response until Monday. However, within a couple of hours, I received a response. They answered all of my questions and gave me an appointment less than a week out. I had called numerous places before making my decision on where to have this service done. By far All-Star offered the best pricing and in most cases by hundreds of dollars. I can't say enough about their work, amazing job!”

Ceramic Coating FAQs
Is it necessary to polish the paint before coating? While it isn't strictly mandatory, we almost always recommend at least a light polish. A ceramic coating acts like a magnifying glass; it will lock in and highlight whatever is underneath it. To get the best possible shine and ensure the coating bonds perfectly, some level of paint correction is usually the best path forward.
Are there other types of ceramic coatings? Yes, you can ceramic coat almost every surface on your vehicle (with different types of coatings). We offer other add-ons like windshield coatings, interior coatings, wheel coatings, and more!
Do I need to buy special soaps for a coated car? You don't need a specific brand, but you should use "ceramic-safe" products—specifically pH-neutral soaps without added waxes or heavy silicones. Using the right maintenance products will ensure the hydrophobic properties of your coating stay strong for years.
How long does the curing process take? The coating begins to harden immediately, and the car is usually ready to be driven within 24 to 48 hours. However, it takes about two to three weeks to fully chemically cure. During that window, we ask that you avoid washing the car or using any harsh chemicals while the bond reaches its full strength.
Is a clay bar included in the price? Absolutely. We consider the clay bar and mechanical decontamination to be a non-negotiable part of the prep process. We won't apply a coating over a dirty surface, so we make sure that paint is as smooth as glass before the ceramic ever touches it.
